The mask represents the solidity of people’s voices; the world remained at home and face-to-face communication was cut off. Face masks are the ubiquitous symbol of a pandemic that sickened 166M and killed 3.43M people in 2020.

 

We depended on the utilisation of social media and technology to connect with loved ones. Altering the photographs to black & white with a small hint of colour adds to the loss of individualism and silence society confronted.
